One of the ways Judson differs from many area preschools is staffing.  Head teachers are required to have Teaching Licensure.  Each class is planned and implemented with a wealth of knowledge about child development and experience with this specific age group.
  

The yellow room (the youngest) is staffed by one Licensed teacher and two assistants.  It has a maximum class size of 19 children.  The green and blue rooms are each staffed by one  Licensed teacher and two assistants during Discovery and Small Group.  During Large Group, Large Muscle Play and Snack, there is one teacher and one assistant.  Class size can be 18-19 children.  Children need to be 2 years and 9 months old by September 1st of that school year.

Our Goals

• Create a positive environment where children can develop a sense of self worth.
• Help children develop socialization skills.
• Direct children in finding acceptable means of expressing emotions.
• Emphasize play as the most important vehicle for learning by providing children with a wind range of activities, carefully planned by as professionally trained and licensed childhood educators.
• Provide services for children with special needs, as our facility permits, though mainstreaming, parent consultations and referrals to community resources.
